This fourteen-day expedition covers more of Sri Lanka’s lesser-visited country than any of our other long-tour routes. Beginning on the remote north-west coast at Kalpitiya, moving through Wilpattu’s vast wilderness, the Cultural Triangle, the eastern hills of Mahiyanganaya, Matale’s spice trails, and the highland railway before finishing on the southern coast – this is Sri Lanka for those who want depth, variety, and a real sense of discovery.

Best For: European travellers seeking a deep, off-the-beaten-track island experience – covering the north-west coast, wildlife, culture, highlands, and south
Route: Negombo → Kalpitiya → Wilpattu → Sigiriya → Kaudulla → Mahiyanganaya → Matale → Nuwara Eliya → Ella → Southern Coast → Galle → Colombo
