A UNESCO World Heritage site of remarkable biological diversity, the Knuckles range is one of Sri Lanka’s most rewarding trekking destinations – less visited than the main hill country, with genuine wilderness, community-based ecotourism, waterfalls, and a network of trails through cloud forest and rocky ridgelines. The range is at its most beautiful during and just after the northeast monsoon, when the vegetation is lush and the air is clear.
